Der gesamte Schrank wurde möglicherweise im frühen 20. Jh. mit einer industriell gefertigten, beigefarbenen Holzmustertapete ausgeklebt.Der für die Nürnberger Schränke typischen Zurückhaltung in der plastischen Gestaltung wird hier ein überaus lebendiges Furnierbild entgegengesetzt, was der Schrankfront eine gewisse Dynamik verleiht.Almuth Klein, Petra Krutisch: Schränke und Kommoden 1650-1800 im Germanischen Nationalmuseum, 2 Bde.
