Vitrinentext
This sheet, created in front of a mirror, shows Karl Hubbuch posing self-confidently as a draftsman. His gaze directed head-on at the viewer, he leans with his drawing right hand on a small table. Clad only lightly, he props up his right leg laterally so that his figure appears as if folded into the plane. The sheet is reminiscent of his studio drawings and photographic snapshots of the late 1920s. In these, he effectively staged himself and his models in extreme poses.
